Hello neighbors,

My name is Tiger Worku, and I’m running to be the next Minnesota state representative for District 49A. Laurie Pryor has been a marvelous legislator, and I look forward to picking up the baton and continuing to spearhead the vital work ahead. I was born and raised in Minnesota, and spent most of my upbringing between Minneapolis and Minnetonka. During my junior year of high school, I was selected to participate in the Minnesota House of Representatives Page Program, and at that point, I fell in love with the legislative process.

My work in electoral politics began in 2018 during the Walz/Flanagan campaign, during which I led youth outreach, both during the primary and general election. I then began environmental organizing at "MN Can't Wait" a sister organization of "Climate Generation", focusing on uniting Minnesotans from all across the state on various climate initiatives. I've spent the past couple years volunteering for different candidates and organizations that align with DFL values, and in 2022, I published my first book, a political analysis and narrative titled "Mosaic Republic."

If elected, my priorities will be focused on environmental protection and preservation, improving and expanding healthcare for all Minnesotans, and fully investing in education at all levels, so that Minnesotans will always have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Please join me, as we work to unite the beautiful communities that call Southern Minnetonka and Northern Eden Prairie home.
